Vesna Plevnik – NALP’s Fastest Student

Vesna started her Level 4 Diploma in April 2020, and was finished in less than six months! We wanted to get to know a bit more about our fastest ever student, so we posed 8 questions for her…

1. Describe yourself in two sentences, or less:

I’m a hardworker, sometimes over-achiever, who believes in strong work ethics, doing the right thing and following my passions, goals and dreams.

2. What’s your favourite movie of all time?

My favourite movies of all time definitely have to be Back to the Future I, II and III.

3. When you retire, where in the world would you like to live, money no object?

If I had the option to live anywhere in the world, I would choose Hawaii.

4. How did you find NALP?

I found NALP on the internet, with the help of my mentor at my current employment. He inspired me to look into it closely and directed me to web pages.

5. You did the qualification in less than 6 months. What prompted you to complete it so quickly?

I am a person who strives to reach my set goals. I saw this opportunity as the means to an end. Because of my passion for law, it motivated me to complete it quicker.

6. How do you believe the NALP qualification will help you in the future?

I believe this qualification will open doors for me to progress within my legal career. It provided me life-long skills which will be useful in my career growth.

7. What are your career aspirations?

My career inspiration is to work within a legal department inside counsel. Who knows, maybe one day I will be able to work for the International Criminal Court in Den Haag Netherlands to fight for justice world-wide.

8. How do believe NALP can help you achieve these aspirations?

Yes I do believe NALP can help me achieve my inspiration. I have to say that the one-on-one support I received during my studies has been phenomenal. Although the study was challenging since English is not my first language, I didn’t feel I am lacking anything because of the personalised support and tutoring during the whole course.

This interview with Vesna Plevnik is the first in a series of member interviews, looking to understand why they are members, why they chose to take a NALP qualification and what really makes her tick. If you are a member and would like to take part, please get in touch
