Why you should become a NALP member

NALP (The National Association of Licensed Paralegals) is the UK’s longest running Professional Membership Body for Paralegals.

Paralegals play a crucial role within the legal sector and across commerce, industry and the public sector through the provision of legal services. NALP strives to raise the profile and gain recognition for Paralegal Professionals and the important work they do.

Discover the fantastic benefits of joining our Professional Membership Body.

The Paralegal Profession is not subject to statutory regulation, therefore the sector looks to the self-regulated membership bodies and organisations for regulation.

NALP offers self-regulation for its members; for over 30 years we have set the standard for Paralegals within the legal sector.

We offer a range of membership categories, each application is assessed based on your professional experience and training and the appropriate level is awarded.

As a member you’ll give confidence to employers and clients in your expertise and skills, whilst demonstrating commitment to your career and professional development.

We offer all NALP members an opportunity for a phone consultation with our CEO Amanda Hamilton to discuss career development, paralegal training and the Paralegal Profession.

We keep connected with our members on an individual level, understanding your role within the legal sector.

NALP is the only paralegal membership body to offer nationally recognised and accredited courses through the Government body, Ofqual.

We offer specialist Paralegal Training, to equip our students with the skills required to work as a Paralegal within a variety of industries, our qualifications are highly recognised within the Legal Sector.

Established in 1987, we have been lobbying and advocating on our members' behalf for greater recognition for over 30 years.

We are regularly featured in Industry, business and consumer press to raise the profile for Paralegals and the work you do.

We have partnered with a well established company to offer our members fantastic discounts in relation to medical and dental care, Income protection, travel and accident plans and breakdown recovery.

As a NALP Member, you will have exclusive access to our Members' Area on the website with access to webinars on various subject areas, latest news and career tips.

All NALP Members will have benefit from free registration on the NPR, NALP's National Paralegal Register.  A fantastic marketing resource to demonstrate your skills and expertise to consumers and employers
